How to get to Des Moines, Iowa

  • Des Moines is easily accessible by auto or air.
  • By air: Des Moines International Airport (airport code DSM) is a 15-minute drive from Drake University. A traveler-friendly airport, DSM airport serves 24 cities with nonstop service and typically welcomes nearly 3 million people annually. 
  • By auto: Des Moines is located at the intersection of I-35 and I-80 and within a day’s drive from major cities including Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City, and Omaha. Drake University is located just blocks off I-235 at the 31st Street exit.
