INTRODUCING THE 7TH “MAPPING THE MAGAZINE” CONFERENCE
“Mapping the Magazine” is a series of conferences established by Tim Holmes of the Cardiff University School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies (JOMEC).
The conference aims to create an intimate meeting of international magazine scholars from many disciplines (Media and Communications, Journalism, Gender and Cultural Studies, Sociology, Linguistics, English, History, Visual Communications, and so on) who are interested in exploring the current state of magazine research and possibly developing collaborative research projects.
The conference will be held at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa during the new dates of July 27-28, 2022.
Six conferences have run so far – in 2020, 2018, 2016, 2011, 2007 and 2005.
Papers will be delivered sequentially over the three days, not concurrently in separate streams. Conference delegates are asked to commit to attending all papers.
